Building AccelMars Ops MVP in 5 Days
The Setup
AccelMars Ops started as a question: what would happen if you tried to build a full operations platform — the kind that normally takes a team of 5-10 engineers three to six months — with one founder and AI?
Not a prototype. Not a landing page. A working multi-tenant SaaS with authentication, role-based dashboards, automated reporting, GitHub integration, and cron-scheduled scripts across 10 business functions.
The Result
33,000+ lines of code. 5 days. One founder. AI handling 60-90% of execution.
Here’s what shipped:
- Multi-tenant architecture with Supabase (PostgreSQL + Row Level Security)
- 10 role-based dashboards — CEO, CTO, CFO, COO, Product, Marketing, Sales, Legal, People, Secretary
- AI-powered scripts that generate daily briefings, weekly reviews, and financial snapshots
- GitHub activity tracking across all repositories
- Cron automation for scheduled reports
- Full authentication with organization management
What Made It Possible
Three things converged:
1. Structured documentation as context. Every role had a complete specification before any code was written. The AI didn’t guess what a CFO dashboard should contain — it had a detailed spec. Documentation isn’t overhead. It’s the input that makes AI effective.
2. 2-day sprint cycles. Traditional estimate / 10 = our estimate. Each sprint had clear scope, artifact-based gates (not time-based), and a forcing function against scope creep. Five sprints in 5 days.
3. Bottom-up validation. No pattern became a standard until it was proven in practice. The development methodology (SHAPE → PLAN → BUILD → VERIFY → SHIP) wasn’t imposed — it emerged from two projects converging independently.
What It Means
This isn’t about replacing engineers. It’s about what’s possible when one person with domain knowledge has the right tools.
The traditional path — raise capital, hire a team of 10, build slowly — is one path. But it’s not the only path anymore. Solo founders and tiny teams can now operate at a scale that was previously impossible.
