Navigator
The precursor to our modern AI agents. Navigator was a Slack bot connected to a Vector Database of our documentation. It allowed staff to ask "How do I deploy to prod?" and get an instant answer.
The Challenge
Senior engineers were constantly interrupted by repetitive questions from juniors. Documentation existed, but nobody read it.
Our Solution
We built a RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipeline before the term was coined. Navigator indexed our Notion/Obsidian docs and answered questions in natural language.
